Tips to Get the Most Bang for your Buck at the Grocery Store
Jake: Hey, I’m Jake of Body by Jake with your nutrition tip of the day. Man, oh man, it’s great to see you. Chef Steph is here and I’ve got one from Marcus and Marcus asks, How do I stretch my food budget?
Chef Steph: That’s a great question. I get that a lot Jake.
You know, the one thing is you want to cook extra, plan ahead.
And then you can use all those bits and pieces that you have left over. You can throw them into a casserole, you can throw into a soup, you can make over into two wraps or salad. So it’s a great idea to have extra when you’re preparing your food.
Jake: I love it. You’re very big on doing things yourself. What if somebody is not that capable or doesn’t have the energy to say I’m going to make my own food. What do you say to that?
Chef Steph: You know, there’s a lot of options in the stores these day. They have things already chopped, already washed and ready to go. And then you just have to heat them up. So think about what works with your lifestyle and the time that you have.
Jake: Beautiful, chef Steph! Thanks, thank you very much.
