Jake: Hey I’m Jake of Body by Jake with your nutrition tip of the day. Oh my goodness, chef Stef is here!
We are gonna answer your most frequently asked questions and this is from Raul, and he is asking: is eating late at night bad for me?
Chef Steph: Yes, absolutely, it’s really bad! One thing is that tells me that you didn’t plan ahead and you haven’t eaten enough to fuel your body for the day. So now we’ve saved up all of those calories and we’re gonna eat them right before we go to bed.
Now we put all of this food in our belly and it’s gonna put added pressure on this special little valve in our belly, and things are gonna trickle back up which is never pleasant for anyone.
So eat smaller meals throughout the day, don’t wait and eat at night. Also, you’re gonna not sleep well because you’ve got all this food you’ve got to process.
Jake: It’s that downward spiral, and we’re talking about upward spiral! Chef Steph is always terrific!
