Jake: Hey I’m Jake of Body by Jake with your nutrition tip of the day. I’ve got one, because we answer all your most frequently asked questions. Chef Steph is here and here is one from Nicholas and he asked the question, what’s the deal with protein versus carbs?
Chef Steph: That is the big fight that is going on constantly. Both sides of the fence are right: protein is part of every cell in your body so it’s critical that you get at least three servings about the size of the palm of your hand every single major meal.
Carbohydrates: we need carbohydrates. They break down into simple sugars, it breaks down into glucose which is the preferred energy source for your brain right so we can think and figure out what we’re gonna eat next!
So, protein we need, carbohydrates we need. The main thing with protein three servings the palm of your hand each of your major meals for each day.
Jake: Beautiful! Well done Chef Steph it’s always so great to see you.
“Stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit. It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit! Don’t quit! Have a great day!”
