Hey I’m Jake of Body by Jake and here is your fitness tip of the day. You want to work the chest, you want to work your arms. You have a broomstick. Julie does! We’re gonna show you how we do it – it’s called the broomstick chest press here we go. Julie let’s do it!
Remember: feet shoulder-width apart, knees are bent slightly. I want to take all the pressure off that lower back. Elbows up and we’re gonna press the bar out, press the broomstick out, bring it in.
Well done! Now what you’re doing is great, but we don’t want to hyper-extend the elbow so you want to bring it back in and bring it out just as you’re going all the way. Bring it right back in, resist on the way in, resist on the way out. Breathing normally.
Focus: firming and toning, stomach tight. We’re smiling. My goodness gracious this is incredible – that effect!
