Jake: Hey I’m Jake of Body by Jake with your nutrition tip of the day. This one comes from Avanta, what’s best to eat at breakfast? Wow, that’s a great question!
Chef Steph: Wow, that’s a great question! You know breakfast, we don’t have to eat just what we think as breakfast foods. You can have something else!
Maybe you’re not big on eggs and bacon and waffles and toast and things like that.
What about having something more savory for breakfast and moving away from the sweet?
Like a whole grain piece of toast with a little bit of grilled chicken on it, a little bit of avocado and a little bit of mozzarella. Something savory you know. I’m hungry too!
Jake: That’s great, that’s great! Keep on going how about a couple more ideas?
Chef Steph: Right, so other things like fruit with nut butters. You know, there’s so much variety! You could omit a bread item and if you have a toaster. So eating on the run! Throw some berries and nuts in with that and you’ve got a really good well-balanced meal.
Jake: There’s a breakfast. Breakfast is important.
Chef Steph: You’ve got it. You’ve been sleeping all night so you’re getting over an overnight fast so it’s important to fuel your body, give your brain some carbohydrates and get you going. Primed for the rest of your day.
Jake: There you go, Chef Stef, I love it!
