Tips to Avoid Unhealthy Foods When You’re on the Run
Jake: Hey I’m Jake of Body by Jake with your nutrition tip of the day. Yes it’s that time of day! That moment where we are gonna answer your most frequently asked questions Chef Steph is!
Hi, Chef Steph, it’s nice to see you! Here’s a good one for you, is eating on the run bad for me? I guess they were asking about fast food or, you know, not thinking how about that?
Chef Steph: That’s what it is – lack of forethought and planning to eat healthy meals.
So when you’re eating on the run, your choices aren’t so great as if you had prepared food on your own at home. You’re gonna get food choices that are higher in fat, higher in sodium, higher in sugars, than what you would had you prepared it for yourself.
Alot of times it’s not the sodium that we’re adding to our foods we’re cooking at home, it’s the sodium that’s in all the processed foods and when your diet from eating on the run consists just of that, you’re doing bad things to your body. Take better care of yourself! Plan ahead and then you won’t have to eat on the road!
Jake: I like that – plan ahead! I love it, Chef Stef!
“Stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit. It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit! Don’t quit! Have a great day!”
